Pine trees, cliffs, hidden coves, crystalline water and steep coast make this area
a very special and unique place in Spain.
Platja Fonda managed to keep its primitive purity
that you can rarely find in any other places of Costa Brava.
It is not a real natural pool made of water from the sea but it does not matter, it is almost one. It is one of the most beautiful corners of the Costa Brava and we all agree with that.
You can find that unique place between the small port of Fornells and Platja Fonda.
for the residential area of Es Cau and unique use of its residents.
The water is crystal clear!
GASTRONOMY
The traditional dish from the area, without any doubts, is the PEIX DE ROCA, known for being tastier and of high quality. Â Each spring, they celebrate the gastronomy of the area. A selection of restaurants offers special tasting menu with dishes made of PEIX DE ROCA. In Begur, the gastronomy reflects the natural wealth of an area opened to the Mediterranean sea, where you can find any kind of fish and seafood but also a selection of fruits and vegetables.
