Lately by Karl Mackie
We had some great waves in the UK back in May this year. In fact, they were so good, they inspired me to buy my first non-self shaped surfboard in 10 years.
Home is Newquay in Cornwall, I've always loved shooting where I live down in the south of the UK. We get waves! They are not always as consistent as we want them to be, but when they arrive and the weather patterns all come together its pretty good.
I really enjoyed shooting this roll of film. I committed to taking my 1954 Minolta SR-7 everywhere while this swell lasted, thats a heavy beast of a camera! I wanted to focus more on the surfers and the positions they get in whilst surfing waves.

Locations that were shot for this post include Fistral Beach, Little Fistral, Lusty Glaze and Watergate Bay. I used Lomography and T-Max film with cross processing going on in the development process.
